My name is Kelsey, not Roofresh, but Roo IS my nickname. I live in the Phoenix area with my husband and we are having fun being newlyweds and going on crazy adventures together. We like finding new hangouts, food, art, music and friends; so that's pretty much what my blog is about. You'll find a bit of fashion, design, nutrition and family sprinkled throughout my content, or anything else that catches my eye at the moment. My blog has changed a lot over the last year, but you'll see that it's really just a record of our lives together; our public journal.

Fashion Cambio - {Life As We Know It}

So you might have noticed that the 'Blogger Edition' is now gone from Fashion Cambio...yes it is officially over...but that doesn't mean that it can't come back! If you are a blogger with a fashion section and are interested in participating in the future, just hit me up (email me) and we can look at a few different outfits to possibly feature to bring it back. 

The new jump off to Fashion Cambio is inspired by a movie that I recently watched called "Life as We Know It" with Katherine Heigl. I feel a little nerdy admitting it, but I loved the movie and her clothes in it! Everything was simple and put together, and Katherine seemed to have a lot of closet basics that made up her wardrobe, (I talk like she picked it all out herself!)

Here are some shots of her clothes from the movie (it was hard to get really great shots, so you may have to just watch it yourself).

Okay, so this very pretty tree in my friend Becky's back yard was SWARMING with bees, hence my face.
No I'm not running away from the bees, this is just my horrible improvisation.

Guest Post - {Miss Arnold Palmer}

Arizona Blogger Meetup!

I'm so excited for this! If you are a blogger, if you live in Arizona or not, you should know about it! Danielle, Chelsea, and I have been emailing back and forth getting some details worked out, and thus far we know that it is going to be on the 26th of March in downtown Phoenix. We have a lot of great stuff in the works and I'm super stoked! If you are interested in attending head on over to Sometimes Sweet, Danielle's blog and RSVP under her post to reserve your spot!

More details will be coming later, but we are planning on a day activity and a dinner party in the evening. Fashion Cambio - {Blogger Edition}


If you don't check out my blog on a regular basis, you might not know that I do a little segment called Fashion Cambio every Friday. I love doing it because it's something that I, in a way, always did on my own anyway and now I have fun sharing it on my blog. No, I didn't always take pictures of myself, but I did look at fashion posts and websites for inspiration when I had "fashion block." Instead of staring blankly at my closet for 20+ minutes in the morning, I would look up a picture the night before and find similar clothing items that I already had to get the same "look."

I have taken a couple of weeks off during the holidays, but now that 2011 is in full swing I'm excited to share my project with you! I asked a few of my blogger friends to participate and be my "inspiration" portion of my posts and answer a few short interview questions...and man did they deliver! I have gotten some great responses from these ladies and I can't wait to show them off.

So stay tuned, I'm gonna be posting these bad boys every week for the next few weeks and I know you're going to love them!
